"How do you work with somebody who isn't there?" Organizations have the technology to build elaborate virtual environments for work, but we don't fully understand how they work. Intellectually, I believe the key is to understand the underlying dynamics of the control of complex adaptive systems. From a practical point of view, my career (after the Navy) has been about building, selling, and managing the technologies and business models that support these environments.
